The 72 km oil pipeline from the Banyu Urip Oil and Gas Field in Bojonegoro to the coast of Tuban, passes through 32 villages from seven districts in Tuban Regency. Plus underwater pipe along the 23 km to the mooring tower facilities Float Ship Floating Capacity Rimang.

"Throughout the program, EMCL collaborates with NGOs and engages communities in every activity," Dave said.

About Rimang Crow

To process the processed oil from the Central Processing Facility (CPF) to Palang Beach, Tuban, EMCL constructed a 72km-long land-based pipe. Four valve houses are housed in Along the 20-inch and insulated pipe line.

From Palang Beach, Tuban, the land pipeline is connected to a 23 kilometer long underwater pipeline to the mooring tower. The 1,200-tonne mooring tower is planted on the seabed at a depth of 33 meters. Tower construction is made in such a way that the attached Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) facility can rotate 360 degrees, adjust the direction with wind or wave and ocean currents without disrupting the flow of oil to the vessel.

The Rimang FSO ship can accommodate 1, 7 million barrels of crude oil piped by land and sea pipes from CPF. This ship is 327 meters or approximately equivalent to 3 times the length of a football field. The unattended FSO vessel has a net weight of 46,500 tons or the equivalent weight of 60,000 elephants.

The name of "Rimang Crow" was inaugurated by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources on August 19, 2014. The name is taken from the name of the legendary horse of Arya Penangsang, Jipang Kingdom Ruler in the XVI century whose territory is believed to include areas Cepu, Blora, Bojonegoro and Tuban. The name was chosen to take on this philosophy of strength and reliability.

Percakapan dua nelayan ini merupakan cuplikan dialog dalam desain kaos yang dipakai para nelayan di Kecamatan Palang Kabupaten Tuban-Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Kaos yang telah digunakan nelayan sejak 2015 tersebut merupakan bagian dari kampanye keselamatan di area fasilitas kapal alir muat terapung minyak mentah dari Lapangan minyak dan gas Banyu Urip Blok Cepu. Sebuah proyek negara yang dioperatori oleh ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL)

"EMCL bersama kami dan pemerintah bekerjasama dalam menyukseskan upaya ini,” kata Wakil Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Cabang Himpunan Nelayan Seluruh Indonesia (HNSI) Kabupaten Tuban, Muslih.

Menurut Muslih, Fasilitas Kapal Alir Muat Terapung Gagak Rimang yang ada di laut lepas, cukup menarik perhatian para nelayan ketika melaut karena banyaknya ikan di area tersebut. Dia menduga, penerangan di sekitar fasilitas tersebut cukup terang sehingga menarik ikan untuk berkumpul. Hal inilah yang membuat para nelayan ingin menangkap ikan di area sekitar Gagak Rimang.

Tapi kila harus tahu batasan keselamatan di area fasilitas tersebut," ujar pria yang sudah puluhan tahun menggantungkan hidupnya dari hasil laut itu. Untuk menjaga keselamatan para nelayan, Muslih sebagai penggerak organisasi nelayan, telah berkonsultasi dengan pihak Keamanan Laut Terpadu (Kamladu) bersama Dinas Perikanan dan Kelautan (DPK) Kabupaten Tuban serta EMCL. Kemudian beberapa diskusi dan sosialisasi dilakukan kepada para nelayan.

Kini masyarakat tahu, bahwa radius 500 meter dari fasilitas tersebut merupakan area terlarang. Di zona terlarang, semua jenis kapal tidak diperbolehkan melintas. Sedangkan radius 1 .250 meter dari zona terlarang itu menjadi wilayah terbatas. Di zona terbatas. kapal masih boleh melintas, tapi tidak menurunkan sauh atau jangkar.

“Pembagian zona ini diatur dalam Peraluran Pemerintah No. 5 Tahun 2010 tentang kenavigasian," ucap dia.

Muslih menambahkan, untuk memperjelas batas zona tersebut, dengan dukungan EMCL, pihaknya memasang tanda batas laut (buoy). Dia menuturkan, dengan adanya buoy, nelayan akan tenang berlayar tanpa khawatir melewati batas zona aman. Kita semua faham bahwa peraturan tersebut dibuat untuk keselamatan kita," kata dia. 

Sementara itu, External Affairs Manager EMCL Dave A Seta mengungkapkan, EMCL terus bersinergi dengan pemerintah Kabupaten Tuban melalui dinas-dinas terkait, pihak kecamatan, hingga desa. EMCL sebagai Kontraktor Kontrak Kerjasama (KKKS) pemerintah di bawah pengawasan SKK Migas, memiliki komitmen untuk berkontribusi dalam peningkatan taraf hidup masyarakat Kabupaten Tuban. 

Pipa minyak sepanjang 72 km dari Lapangan Minyak dan Gas Banyu Urip di Bojonegoro hingga tepi pantai Tuban, melewati 32 desa dari tujuh kecamatan di Kabupaten Tuban. Ditambah pipa bawah Iaut sepanjang 23 km hingga menara tambat fasilitas Kapal Alir Muat Terapung Gagak Rimang.

"Kami mengapresiasi semua dukungan dari masyarakat selama ini sehingga operasi kami berjalan aman dan efisien," ucap dia. Keselamatan merupakan nilai yang dijunjung tinggi oleh EMCL dalam menjalankan operasinya. EMCL berusaha keras
untuk selalu menjaga keselamatan bagi pekerja, masyarakat sekitar, dan Iingkungan. Dalam hal ini, keselamatan bagi para nelayan di sekitar Gagak Rimang menjadi bagian dari prioritas EMCL.

Dalam meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat nelayan, EMCL memprakarsai berbagai program kemasyarakatan di bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, dan pengembangan ekonomi. Atas persetujuan SKK Migas dan dukungan mitra Blok Cepu,  Pertamina EP Cepu dan Badan Kerjasama Participating Interest Blok Cepu, EMCL telah membangun tambat labuh di Desa Glodok dan Karangagung Kecamatan Palang, mendirikan pos jaga nelayan di depan tempat Pelelangan Ikan Karangagung, memberikan bantuan 112 terumbu karang, alat tangkap ikan kepada para nelayan, program peningkatan mata pencaharian serta melaksanakan program pemberdayaan istri nelayan di Desa Glodok, Leran Kulon, dan Desa Karangagung.

"Selama program, EMCL berkejasama dengan Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat (LSM) dan melibatkan masyarakat dalam setiap pelaksanaan kegiatannya," kata Dave.

Tentang Gagak Rimang

Untuk mengalirkan minyak yang diproses dari Fasilitas Pusat PengoIahan (Central Processing Facility / CPF) menuju ke Pantai Palang, Tuban, EMCL membangun pipa darat yang ditanam sepanjang 72 kilometer. Empat rumah katup ditempatkan di
sepanjang jalur pipa berdiameter 20 inci dan berinsulasi tersebut.

Dari Pantai Palang, Tuban, pipa darat tersambung dengan pipa bawah laut sepanjang 23 kilometer menuju menara tambat. Menara tambat seberat 1.200 ton ini ditanam di dasar laut pada kedalaman 33 meter. Konstruksi menara dibuat sedemikian rupa sehingga Fasilitas Penyimpanan dan Alir-Muat Terapung (Floating Storage and Offloading/FSO) yang dikaitkan dapat berputar 360 derajat, menyesuaikan arah dengan angin atau ombak dan arus laut tanpa mengganggu aliran minyak ke kapal tersebut.

Kapal FSO Gagak Rimang dapat menampung 1 ,7 juta barel minyak mentah yang dialirkan lewat pipa darat dan laut dari CPF. Kapal ini berukuran 327 meter atau kira-kira setara dengan 3 kali panjang lapangan sepak bola. Kapal FSO tanpa muatan memiliki berat bersih 46.500 ton atau setara berat 60.000 gajah. 

Nama Gagak Rimang diresmikan oleh Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral pada 19 Agustus 2014. Nama tersebut diambil dari nama kuda legendaris milik Arya Penangsang, Penguasa Kerajaan Jipang pada abad ke XVI yang wilayah kekuasaannya diyakini meliputi daerah Cepu, Blora, Bojonegoro dan Tuban. Nama tersebut dipilih untuk mengambil filosofi kekuatan dan kehandalan tersebut.
