Pertamina Closes 37 Illegal Wells



In the past year, PT Pertamina Asset 1 with Jambi Provincial Government has closed 37 holes or illegal or illegal oil wells in Pompa Air Village, Bajubang Sub-district, Batanghari Regency, Jambi.

Public Relations Manager of PT Pertamina Asset 1, Sugeng Wiharto said Pertamina and the provincial government together with the joint team that has been made a Decree (SK) by the Governor of Jambi as the team closing the oil wells, last closing as many as 13 illegal wells run by the community and migrants there.

Previously, the team formed by the Governor of Jambi has been doing several times the closure of illegal wells in Pompa Air Village. The first closure of the well was held on 28 April to 3 May 2017 where the team managed to close 16 wells, despite the resistance from the public.

Then on May 25, 2017 re-implemented closure of six wells so that a total of 22 wells successfully closed. Then on October 2nd, 2017, re-closing the four wells and accompanied by the delivery of social assistance to the people of Pompa Air Village.

Sugeng asserted, however, illegal drilling activities are still going on, and even last there are thirteen illegal wells estimated to produce 3-4 drums of crude oil per day which was officially closed by Vice Governor of Jambi.

The step was taken as a follow up of the curbing of illegal oil wells in Pompa Air Village, Bajubang Sub-district, Batanghari District, Illegal Drilling Closure Team established based on the Decree of the Governor of Jambi on 26 April 2017 re-closing 13 existing wells.

Pertamina Tutup 37 Sumur Ilegal


Dalam setahun terakhir ini PT Pertamina Asset 1 bersama  Pemerintah Provinsi jambi telah menutup sebanyak 37 lubang atau titik sumur minyak ilegal atau illegal drilling yang ada di Desa Pompa Air, Kecamatan Bajubang Kabupaten Batanghari, Jambi.

Manager Humas PT Pertamina Asset 1, Sugeng Wiharto mengatakan Pertamina dan pemerintah provinsi bersama tim gabungan yang telah di buatkan Surat Keputusan (SK) oleh Gubemur Jambi sebagai tim penutupan sumur minyak liar, terakhir menutup sebanyak 13 sumur ilegal yang dikelola masyarakat maupun pendatang disana.

Sebelumnya, tim bentukan Gubernur Jambi ini telah melakukan beberapa kali penutupan sumur-sumur illegal di Desa Pompa Air. Penutupan sumur tahap pertama dilaksanakan pada 28 April hingga 3 Mei 2017 dimana tim berhasil melakukan penutupan 16 sumur, meskipun mendapat perlawanan dari oknum masyarakat.

Kemudian pada 25 Mei 2017 kembali dilaksanakan penutupan enam sumur sehingga total 22 sumur berhasil ditutup. Selanjutnya pada 2 Oktober 2017 dilakukan kembali penutupan empat sumur dan disertai penyerahan bantuan sosial kepada masyarakat Desa Pompa Air.

Sugeng menegaskan, namun, kegiatan illegal drilling masih tetap berlangsung, bahkan terakhir ini terdapat lagi tiga belas sumur illegal yang diperkirakan menghasilkan 3-4 drum minyak mentah setiap harinya yang resmi ditutup oleh Wakil Gubemur Jambi.

Langkah tersebut diambil sebagai tindaklanjut dari penertiban kegiatan penambangan sumur-sumur minyak illegal di Desa Pompa Air, Kecamatan Bajubang, Kabupaten Batanghari, Tim Penutupan Illegal Drilling yang dibentuk berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Gubemur Jambi tanggal 26 April 2017 kembali melakukan penutupan 13 sumur yang ada.
