PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) considers that the revision plan of Regulation of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 19/2009 on Gas Pipe Business Activities will benefit this company. The revision shall divide the territory of the exclusive distribution channel to the enterprise.
For the new distribution channel area, the government plans to grant exclusive management rights for 30 years and the existing territory for 15 years. In addition, the government will provide gas supply guarantees.
Head of Marketing and Product Development Division of PGN Adi Munandir explained that the revision of Ministerial Regulation 19 of 2009 to improve the natural gas trading system, prevent duplication, and divide equality of players downstream gas sector.
According to him, the best point of the revision is the determination of a particular distribution channel area. The region will be managed exclusively for 30 years by a business entity that has the best capacity in infrastructure provision and provides it to all consumers including household and Gas Fuel Filling Station (SPBG).
"PGN with our existing area has a number of pipes up to 80,000 km. It becomes exclusive areas of PGN, "he said, Wednesday (22/11).
According to him, a business entity may develop infrastructure, develop a network in its own territory, exclusively without being disturbed. In this way PGN can expand demand, infrastructure everywhere calmly, given the allocation by the government and exclusive rights.

PGN Diuntungkan Revisi Peraturan Menteri ESDM No 19/2009
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) menilai, rencana revisi Peraturan Menteri ESDM Nomor 19/2009 tentang Kegiatan Usaha Gas Bumi Melalui Pipa akan menguntungkan perusahaan ini. Revisi tersebut akan membagi wilayah jalur distribusi eksklusif kepada badan usaha.
Untuk wilayah jalur distribusi baru, pemerintah berencana memberikan hak eksklusif mengelola selama 30 tahun dan wilayah eksisting selama 15 tahun. Selain itu, pemerintah akan memberikan jaminan pasokan gas.
Head of Marketing and Product Development Division PGN Adi Munandir menjelaskan, revisi Peraturan Menteri 19 tahun 2009 untuk memperbaiki tata niaga gas bumi, mencegah duplikasi, dan membagi kesetaraan pemain sektor hilir gas.
Menurut dia, poin paling bagus dari revisi itu adalah penetapan wilayah jalur distribusi tertentu. Wilayah itu akan dikelola secara eksklusif selama 30 tahun oleh badan usaha yang memiliki kemampuan paling baik dalam penyediaan infrastruktur dan menyediakannya untuk semua konsumen termasuk rumah tangga dan Stasiun Pengisian Bahan Bakar Gas (SPBG).
“PGN dengan wilayah eksisting kami memiliki jumlah pipa sampai 80.000 km. Itu jadi wilayah-wilayah eksklusif PGN," kata dia, Rabu (22/11).
Menurut dia, suatu badan usaha boleh mengembangkan infrastruktur, mengembangkan jaringan di wilayahnya sendiri, eksklusif tanpa diganggu. Dengan cara ini PGN bisa melakukan mengembangkan permintaan, infrastruktur kemana-mana dengan tenang, karena diberikan alokasi oleh pemerintah dan hak eksklusif.
