PT Pertamina EP through Pertamina EP Asset 4 operational unit in Poleng Field successfully completed drilling of POL-N2 well. POL-N2 well work is an offshore drilling prime PT Pertamina EP Drilling located off the coast of the Java Sea for 47 days using an Ensco 67 rig with a depth of 8,696 feet.
This is a horizontal type of exploitation drilling. The success of offshore POL-N2 well drilling can be safely resolved with production exceeding the target of 744 barrels per day (bpd) and 1.07 million cubic feet per day (mmscfd).
The drilling of POL-N 2 wells originally budgeted amounted to approximately US33 15.5 million. However, the realization of the cost can be reduced to about US $ 11.6 million. In addition to drilling at the POL-N2 well, Pertamina EP Asset 4 also succeeded in drilling the TPN-4 well located in Dusun Tapen, Tuban, East Java.
There the company got a new production with an oil bladder test of about 250 bpd on a 40/64 pinch. The drilling budget is around US $ 4.2 million. Didik Susilo, Asset 4 General Manager of Pertamina EP explained that the success of drilling in these two locations brought Asset 4 to achieve production of 120.3% of the 2017 target of 12,255 bph.

Pemboran sumur POL-N 2 yang semula dianggarkan sebesar sekitar US33 15,5 juta. Namun, realisasi biaya mampu ditekan menjadi sekitar US$ 11,6 juta. Selain melakukan pengeboran pada sumur POL-N2, Pertamina EP Asset 4 juga berhasil mengebor Sumur TPN-4 yang berlokasi di Dusun Tapen, Tuban, Jawa Timur.
