Penurunan kegiatan eksplorasi dan produksi minyak nasional akibat anjloknya harga minyak dunia menjadi lampu kuning bagi Indonesia. Pasalnya cadangan terbukti minyak mentah nasional saat ini tinggal 3,8 miliar barel yang akan habis dalam 12 tahun bila level produksi dipertahankan rata-rata 800 ribu barel per hari (bph). Cadangan gas dapat bertahan hingga 30 tahun, di bawah rata-rata cadangan migas global di kisaran 50 tahun. Bukan berarti ketika bicara masa produksi migas hanya tinggal beberapa tahun lagi lantas cadangan kita habis. Selama belum ada teknologi baru, artinya cadangan kita belum habis.

Oil Reserves Live 12 Years
The decline in exploration and domestic oil production due to the falling world oil prices into a yellow light for Indonesia. Because the national crude oil proved reserves currently resides 3.8 billion barrels that will be exhausted in 12 years if maintained production levels average 800 thousand barrels per day (bpd). Gas reserves can last up to 30 years, under the average global oil and gas reserves in the range of 50 years. Not that when it comes to future oil and gas production just a few years away then our reserves run out. As long as there is no new technology, we reserve means have not been exhausted.
