Sedangkan harga gas yang didiskon untuk PT Petrokimia Gresik sebesar US$ 6 per MMBTU dari harga sebelumnya, US$ 6,28 per MMBTU. Gas berasal dari Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd. SKK Migas merencanakan perbaikan sistem lelang supaya barang dan jasa yang diperoleh lebih murah. Amien mengatakan upaya memangkas penerimaan negara merupakan salah satu cara efektif untuk memangkas harga. SKK Migas sudah melakukan simulasi harga gas hasil pemangkasan bagian migas negara ataupun pajak penghasilan (PPh). Namun usul ini belum disetujui Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
