The Bojonegoro Regency Government has asked miners in several villages in Kedewan District to comply with regulations regarding the management of old oil wells. "Regulations will not be carried out if miners comply with regulations, including environmental concerns, in managing old oil wells," said Agus Supriyanto, Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Office of the Bojonegoro Regency Government, at the Hargomulyo Village Hall in Kedewan District.

Addressing hundreds of old oil well miners in Kedewan District, he explained that Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu, Central Java, will be implementing the reorganization of the old oil well field. He explained that the reorganization will return management of the old oil well field to local residents to ensure their well-being. However, many investors have participated in managing the old oil well field, allowing them to share in the profits.
Elza Deba Agustina, Head of the Bojonegoro Regency Government's Environmental Agency (BLH), stated that there are currently more than 700 oil wells in Wonocolo, Hargomulyo, and Beji villages in Kedewan District. However, the number of wells covered by the contract between miners and Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu, Central Java, is only 275.
