The Special Task Force for Oil and Gas (SKK Migas) Management Team, along with Production Sharing Contract Contractors (KKKS), and the Editorial Leadership Forum of mainstream print and local media outlets, had the opportunity to visit the Oil and Gas Tourism Village in Wonocolo Village, Bojonegoro Regency.
For those curious about the history of oil and gas in Indonesia, the Wonocolo traditional oil mine is a worthy destination. "For over 100 years, the traditional oil wells in Wonocolo Village, Bojonegoro Regency, have been managed by the local community," said Sunaryadi, Head of SKK Migas, when met in Wonocolo.
Amin added that the majority of Wonocolo Village residents depend on the sustainability of these traditional oil wells for their livelihoods. The residents' activities in managing these oil wells are a unique feature with the potential to become a local tourist attraction.
To preserve the uniqueness of the local heritage here, PT Pertamina EP together with SKK Migas and the Bojonegoro Regency Government and all stakeholders are trying to create an oil and gas tourism village which we named "Petroleum Geoheritage Wonocolo," said Wisnu Hindadari, Asset 4 General Manager.
Wisnu explained that the establishment of Petroleum Geoheritage Wonocolo was also based on the uniqueness of the geological structure in Wonocolo Village
