Dwi Soetjipto, Direktur Utama Pertamina, mengatakan, faktor yang menyebabkan bersinarnya kinerja BUMN ini pada tahun lalu adalah faktor efisiensi, yang bisa menyumbang Rp 20 triliun.

Sedangkan laba usaha perusahaan sekitar Rp 19 triliun dan selebihnya dari kontribusi lain. "Jadi, tahun lalu menembus di atas Rp 40 triliun, ini pertama kali dari sisi laba kami bisa mengalahkan laba Petronas," ujar Dwi. Dwi menegaskan, data tersebut masih laporan keuangan yang belum diaudit. 

Namun menurut dia, berdasarkan perbandingan terakhir dengan perusahaan migas lain, posisi Pertamina masih lebih baik. Seperti diketahui, sampai kuartal III-2016, laba Petronas setara US$ 2,72 miliar. Sedangkan di periode yang sama, laba Pertamina bertahan pada US$ 2,83 miliar. 

Sementara untuk mengejar pertumbuhan aset 2,5 kali lipat memerlukan investasi tidak sedikit. Dwi memperkirakan, 10 tahun ke depan Pertamina membutuhkan investasi sekitar Rp 1.000 triliun. Oleh karena itu, sinergi BUMN bersama Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) dan SKK Migas bisa membuat bisnis Pertamina lebih baik. "Tahun ini Pertamina menganggarkan capex US$ 3,71 miliar.
